 2018 Vacation Bible School

Save the date for July 16th – July 20th

LifeWay’s 2018 VBS invites your kids to grab their megaphones, lace up their cleats, and tune up their instruments.  As they fill up the offensive line, sideline, and drumline, your players, cheerleaders, and band members will realize God has given them His ultimate playbook.  He wants them to join His team, train hard, celebrate salvation, and encourage one another.  Get in the spirit today with Game On! VBS.

VBS is for children who have completed Kindergarten through the 6th Grade.  If you would like to help, please contact Kelly Jones at 405-620-5585 or Cathi Gray at 405-378-8338.

Operation Christmas Child
January 19, 2018

Faith Crossing family did awesome collecting enough items last year to provide 120 OCC shoeboxes that ended up in Haiti. I pray God provides a way for us to get a glimpse of the impact that these shoeboxes has on these kids, and we’re able to send even more shoeboxes this year. How can you help? There are three ways.

1. You can donate items throughout the year and put them in the OCC collection box in the foyer. As you are out shopping this year, look for items on sale or clearance for the boxes. Items we collect for boys and girls ages 2-14 are: small toys, jewelry for older kids, toothbrushes, combs, brushes, washcloths, bars of soap, pens, pencils, note pads, coloring books, crayons, stickers, shirts, flip flops, gloves, hats, scarves, markers, colored pencils, etc. What we CANNOT send is candy, liquid items, and toothpaste. If you’re new to OCC and want ideas, look at the OCC website or Facebook page. Each month we try to collect certain items for the boxes as an idea, but you can bring any item at any time throughout the year. Collection item for January/February: combs, brushes, hair accessories (for girls).

2. Samaritan’s Purse asks that we donate $9 per box we send to assist with the costs of getting the boxes around the world. I’m putting a challenge out there for 12 people/families to donate $9 a month for 2018 to help with this cost. When you donate, please mark your envelope OCC.

3. Pray. Pray for the kids who received the shoeboxes this year. After they receive a box, kids can enroll in The Greatest Journey (a 12-lesson Bible student course guiding them through what it means to faithfully follow Christ). As a result of The Greatest Journey, families are reached, churches grow, new churches are started, and communities are transformed. Pray for the kids who will receive our boxes this year. Pray that the items we put in the boxes meet some of their needs.

If you have any questions, see Kelly Jones or Valerie Simer.
